Search for missing man near Waskaginsh continues

A search for a man in Waskaganish continues. In late October, 54 year-old George Moar went missing while out hunting moose with his friend Walter Stephen. George Katapatuk is a spokesperson for the community. He says Moar was bringing a moose carcass out of the bush and never returned to pick up his friend as planned. Melissa Natachequan spoke with Katapatuk to find out more.

Wemindji recognizes youth

The members of the Youth Council in Wemindji recently recognized some of their peers. They gave recognition for achievement in music, education, volunteerism and much more. Andrew Biron is one of the youth who received an award at the Gala not long ago. He owns and runs Neh T-bone, a meat store in Wemindji.

Hunter kills two bears

hi-black-bear-cp9399736-8col.jpgThe Bear is a sacred animal to hunt for. It also means a lot for those who kill a bear. Jeanette Coonishish, from Mistissini, killed her 1st and 2nd bear this fall. She is someone who loves to hunt. Betsy Longchap spoke to her about it.
