New Cree Health Board chairperson

The Cree Health Board has a new Chairperson. Bella M. Petawabano has been declared the winner with almost 70% of the votes in the September 26th election. She was running against Roderick Pachano from Chisasbi. Melissa Natachequan spoke with her the morning after her win.

Air Creebec in a period of expansion

Air Creebec.JPGAir Creebec has a new hanger in Montreal. The Airline is in a period of expansion because of development in the north - mostly mining, forestry and Hydro-Québec. It also carries 60,000 passengers a year, about evenly divided between charters for companies like Goldcorp,  Hydro-Québec and weekly flights. Creeco's Chairman Jack Blacksmith says companies who use charter planes are one of their most important clientel. Joshua Loon had a chance to speak with him at the Grand Opening of Air Creebec's new hanger at Trudeau International Airport.

Candidates running for CHB

The election day for the Chairperson of the Cree Health Board is fast approaching. Advanced polls are on Monday, September 24th and election day is on Wednesday September 26th. We wanted to help you learn more about what each Candidate stands for. There are two people running in this race, Roderick Pachano from Chisasibi and Bella M. Petawabeno from Mistissini. Melissa Natachequan spoke with both candidates.
