Cree Mining Policy 101

Eyou Istchee is seeing a lot of mining activity these days and under the Plan Nord, that will only accelerate. The Grand Council says that one third of the projects planned as part of Plan Nord are on Cree territory. In 2009, the Grand Council of the Crees and CRA put together a Cree mining Policy to protect Eeyou Istchee. Melissa Natachequan wanted to find out more about this policy. She spoke with Abel Bosum who is the Cree Quebec Negotiator at the GCC.
