Chikabash legend told by Maggie Natachequan

The fall season is a great time of year to be out at your camp, cooking by the fire and preparing for winter. This time of year is also when our elders start telling the Adiyoucanj again. There are many different legends in the history of Cree people, stories passed from generation to generation. Elder Maggie Natachequan from Whapmagoostui shared a story with me about the infamous Chikabash.
