Cree and Inuit apologize for past conflicts
This summer, the final filming for the documentary "Crees and Inuit Peacemakers" was completed. The Film is based on a conflict that last more than a century between the Crees and Inuit in the 1700's. In the 1790's, the Inuit finally made peace with the Crees. This past August at Nashdahpokah, several Cree and Inuit got together for a ceremony and apologized to each other for past actions. The gathering was filmed for a documetary. Betsy Longchap spoke with Ron Sheshamush, who was the writer of the film.
