Corridors of Medicine show
This week, we air our show from last season looking at the debate started by the Quebec College of Physicians when it called on the province to consider the role euthanasia might play in end of life care.
The debate continues. Since the fall 2010, the Quebec National Assembly's Select Committee on Dying with Dignity has been holding a series of public hearings on legalizing euthanasia. The hearings move to Gatineau this week, then Montreal. Geoffrey Kelley, MNA for Jacques-Cartier and Chair of the Select Committee on Dying with Dignity is urging his fellow committee members to listen to our show this week.
We also venture to a Montreal ER where they've turned the hallways into defacto wards -- a problem made even more acute this winter because of a nasty outbreak of H3N2 seasonal flu.
Our show airs Saturday at 11 am (11:30 am NT) and again on Monday at 11:30 am (3:30 pm NT) on CBC Radio One.
