Last week, our show explored end-of-life issues. Tomorrow, I'm hosting a one-day public conference on End-Of-LIfe issues entitled 'To Be or Not To Be'. The conference -- which is orgainzed by George Street United Church -- takes place at Showplace Peterborough, 290 George Street in Peterborough. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about a subject that is growing in importance as our population ages.
I'll be talking about end-of-life and aging. Other speakers include Dr. J. Beamish, a palliative care specialist, Dr. Lionel Rubinoff, an ethics consultant who specialises in long-term care, and Rev. Karen Ptolemy-Stam, minister at George Street United Church.
Admission is $35 and tickets may be purchased at Showplace, by calling 705-742-7469, or by emailing showplacegm@cogeco.ca.

Also at the conference, I'll be signing copies of my book 'The Night Shift: Real Life in the Heart of the ER', published this fall by HarperCollins Canada.
