Our free film promotion has come
to an end however, you can still take part in the Challenge by purchasing
your copy of The Weight of the World and downloading the
free, educational work guides.
Below you will find instructions on where to purchase a copy of
the film. The educational guides are located in our Downloads
section. These guides are created to facilitate project preparation
and to take you through the film in step-by-step segments, included
are discussion points and activity suggestions related to fitness,
nutrition and other factors associated with obesity. These are all
available for download at no charge.
The tool kit (film and guides) helps to engage and to inform youth
about their health and fitness, while engaging, informing and educating
them in creative and challenging ways in schools, libraries, community
groups and at home. By watching the film and coming up with creative
projects based on the issues discussed, you will generate a brilliant
learning opportunity - and have a load of fun doing it!
Some of the projects generated in our Weight of the World Challenge
pilot project were cookbooks, healthy bake sales, snack-tracking
tools and even rap songs with healthy eating tips! Please visit
the Activities page for more helpful
ideas. We invite you to take the Challenge and think of creative
ways to eat healthy and stay fit!
Remember that you can receive an electronic David Suzuki endorsed
certificate of achievement to print and distribute to your participants
