WAM Feb 02-03 Liner Notes The McGrath Family - "Make the Circle Wide"

We all know how those parties go ... a few drinks, a plate of food, then out come the guitars, whistles, drums, and before you know it ... party.

Liner Notes today features a party that drew family - those are well-known, too.

But family from all over the world!  The McGrath Family has members on four continents and many of them descended on Dublin last year.

Two of the McGraths are O'Byrnes - noted traditional musicians Fergus O'Byrne and his son, Fergus Brown-O'Byrne.

One thing lead to another, and the family went into a recording studio.  The result is a mix of Irish favourites and new tunes from Newfoundland, Australia and America released as a cd called Make The Circle Wide.
