May 12-13 on Weekend Arts Magazine
The Atlantic Book Festival and Awards are coming to St. John’s, you’ll hear what that means for authors and publishers. Corner Brook is threatened by The Tentacle’s Claw, a no-budget creature feature filmed in Shock-o-Vision. MusicNL has coalesced some of the concern surrounding the announced cutbacks to CBC Arts programming in the province; they’ll be holding a press conference next week, but David Chafe will be on the show to talk about their worries this weekend. The Long Distance Runners with their new recording Tracks will be on Liner Notes.
The Weekend Arts Magazine with Mack Furlong airs from 6 to 9:30 island time - 5:30 to 9:00 in parts of Labrador - on Saturday and Sunday mornings on CBC Radio 1.
