Writer Douglas Hunter publishes much new material supplementing and modifying our understanding of John Cabot and his race to the New Founde Lande in The Race to the New World - Christopher Columbus, John Cabot, and a Lost History of Discovery. Shirley Montague tells a different story, about the Tales, Trails and Tunes Festival coming to the West Coast this summer. Visual artist Michael Gough talks about his new show of mixed-media work, From the Beginning. Liner Notes features music from Pilot to Bombardier’s new recording, Juliet on Fire Keep Clear.
