The Weekend Arts Magazine with Mack Furlong airs from 6 to 9:30 island time - 5:30 to 9:00 in parts of Labrador - on Saturday and Sunday mornings on CBC Radio 1.

Robert Hong talks about Taking Root: Chinese immigrants and their families in Newfoundland, a new cultural exhibit at Memorial University in St. John’s. A new documentary film will receive its world premiere in Nain next week, filmmaker Nigel Markham and researcher Tom Gordon explain the project. Mike McDonald appears on Liner Notes.
