April 9-10 Rozalind McPhail

Rozalind McPhail has a thing about islands. She grew up in the hippy kingdom of Toronto islands and recently moved here to our rocky outcrop.

Rozalind is so at home in our thriving cultural scene that she recently challenged filmmakers to create silent films about St. John’s….she called the baker’s dozen of films “Painted Houses”

And in the month of February when 100 musicians around the provicne were busy creating Cds - she created soundtracks to the new films.

This week the Painted Houses had a launch party and now Rozalind MacPhail is taking them off to the Yukon for the Dawson City Short Film festival.
