March 12-13 Anton Kuerti

Pianist Anton Kuerti has performed in over 40 countries as a soloist, chamber player and orchestral principal. He has released more than fifty recordings and presents much sought after master classes. He has been called “the best pianist currently playing” and “one of the greatest pianists of our time.”

Tonight in St. John’s at the Arts and Culture Centre, Anton Kuerti completes the cycle of playing Beethoven’s five piano concerti along with the Choral Fantasia, accompanied by the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra.

When most of us look at a piano keyboard we see an enigma - eighty-eight black and white keys that somehow make wonderful music. I asked Anton Kuerti what he sees.
