Shaking - Encore Edition
Listen to Part One:
Listen to Part Two:
On this encore edition of Vinyl Tap Randy Bachman discovers he likes his music the way James Bond likes his martinis... shaken, not stirred.
The show features a complete cocktail of tunes about shaking, shivering and quivering and includes one very important musical ingredient.
The song "Shakin' All Over" was originally recorded by an English band called Johnny Kidd and The Pirates in August, 1960. It went to #1 in the UK charts and was heard by a group of young men in Winnipeg. They recorded a version that changed their lives.... can you Guess Who?
Also shaking things up this week are The Four Tops, Maroon 5, Bill Hailey, John Lee Hooker, AC/DC, Natalie Imbruglia and Selena Gomez among others.
There's a whole lotta shakin' going on so be sure to tune in to the Tap.
