  • Our low pressure system that moved in early this week continues to spin in a stalled out position. However the south coast is now on the 'dry side' of the system with most of the rain being wrapped down and around Vancouver back up to the interior
  • Sunshine will continue today and for most of Friday with temps recovering to mid teens today and high teens tomorrow..however we may see showers develop late this afternoon into the evening across metro Vancouver
  • The showers will be convective in nature (unstable atmosphere) so some thunder & lightning & small hail not out of the question especially towards the north & east end of Vancouver
  • The low will remain in place for the next couple of days bringing the showers back into the YVR forecast for Saturday at this point but bringing steady rain to the Kootenays today & tonight.Rainfall warnings are in place for another 20-30 mm. A flood watch has now been issued for a FloodWatch for West Kootenay where 30-60 mm has already fallen:
  • Showers and cloud cover are in the forecast for Saturday but so are the possibility of sunny breaks.. same story Sunday with less chance of showers but also less chance of sun
  • Looks like the low pressure system finally gets kicked out on Sunday
