The Revitalization of Lawrence Heights


From the Inside Out

The Lawrence Heights Community Health Centre and the Toronto Arts Council launched a new program called From the Inside Out. This community arts project is creating a visual and written archive of the Lawrence Heights community. Local youth are photographing and interviewing people in the neighbourhood with mentorship from artist-in-residence, Rodrigo Moreno .

These photographs and many more will be on display in Yorkdale Shopping Centre from May 4-26. You can find the exhibit below Home Outfitters on the lower level.

The exhibit is open from 10:00 a.m - 9:00 p.m. on weekdays and 9:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. on weekends.

The young photographers are preparing an exhibit for Contact , Toronto's photography festival, in May.

Residents Andrew Cox, Samantha Murray, Michelle Mosquera and Nicolas Fraser are four young photographers who are participating in the program. You can see their work by consulting the map below.
