On May 17, CBC Radio's Metro Morning debuted the "Jump for Jamaica All Stars Anthem" which will also be released live to the public on Victoria Day at the first in a series of Summer Sintings - free Jamaican-inspired pop-up events across the GTA.

The song will be presented flash-mob-style at each event by The Jump Crew, a dance troupe of both professionals and amateurs. It will be available at Jamaica 50 events and downloadable on iTunes and other online stores worldwide - with net proceeds from sales benefiting at-risk youth and families through RISE Life Management Services (www.risejamaica.org) and People Bridge Charitable Foundation (www.peoplebridgecharity.org)

Jamaican-born music entrepreneur, Chris Smith, founder of Chris Smith Management, helmed the production and commissioned Jamaican-Canadian singer/songwriter, Courtney John to create the "Jump for Jamaica" track. The song features world-renowned A-List Canadian and Jamaican artists including Beenie Man, Kardinal Offishall, Kreesha Turner, Marcia Griffiths, Cherine Anderson, Jay Douglas, Saukrates, Mr. Lexx, Steele, T.O.K, Etana, M'lonie, Ammoye, Leontre, Andreena Mill and Leonardo Carmichael.

Jamaica 50 Celebration Inc. presents the "Jump for Jamaica All Stars Anthem" produced by 21 Music, Calabash Music and fashcam Corp. The song is Canada's contribution to the worldwide mosaic of artists and producers - bringing their voices together in celebration of Jamaica's 50th anniversary of independence.

CBC Toronto is a proud media sponsor of the "Jump for Jamaica" events in Toronto. For more information visit www.jamaica50.ca
