A new media-monitoring analysis suggests the Rob Ford saga received more intensive media coverage in the United States than any other Canadian news story since the turn of the century.
Coverage of Ford accounted for 79.3% of all foreign stories in the U.S. and 20.7% in other countries, in a total of 18,145 stories.
In the U.S., there were 6,327 Ford stories from Nov. 4-10, 5,428 from Nov. 11-17, 1,960 from Nov. 18-24, and 670 from Nov. 25-Dec. 1.
