Kids' CBC Live on Stage + Live music with Njacko BackoCalling all preschoolers! Come see Kids' CBC starring hosts Sid and Captain Claw. This show features singing and dancing and games guaranteed to get you up and moving - especially when special guest Bo on the Go arrives! This is followed by an interactive performance by Cameroon-born musician/entertainer Njacko Backo. He will teach a group of volunteer children to play various African percussive instruments and then lead them in a performance. |

Making Sense of One (Book launch + doc filming)CBC News Toronto hosts, Anne-Marie Mediwake and Dwight Drummond, host a segment featuring youths profiled in a new book and CBC TV documentary called, "Making Sense of One". They are members of a drop-in program at St. Stephen's House in Toronto. The book is a collection of essays, poems and drawings depicting their experiences growing up in bi-racial families. This segment will feature a short "trailer reel" from the documentary, followed by an interview with Mo-D, executive producer, and spoken word performances by a few of the youths. |
