On Friday, April 29, CBC News' top journalists will bring Canadians all the pomp, ceremony and excitement surrounding the royal wedding of Prince William and Catherine (Kate) Middleton - and Torontonians can experience it all at a Royal Wedding viewing party in the Atrium of the Canadian Broadcasting Centre. Free tea and scones will be on offer, and prizes will be awarded for the best hat, wedding dress or bridesmaid dress.
Bring your friends and family to watch history unfold, beginning at 5 a.m., with Peter Mansbridge reporting from outside Westminster Abbey, on CBC Television and CBC News Network, as the excitement builds towards the moment when William and Kate arrive. Then at 6 a.m., Mansbridge, Heather Hiscox, Ciara Hunt and the entire CBC News team take you through this historic event-from the ceremony, to the carriage ride through the streets, to Buckingham Palace.
Plus, Anne-Marie Mediwake, co-host of CBC News Toronto, will be in London the week leading up to the wedding, reporting for the supper hour news programs across the country. Tune-in!
