It's only a week until rodeo time and the
Calgary Stampede is already under protest, but these activists aren't trying to save the bulls or the broncos they're rallying for a different cause to get their point across.
The Fair Treatment For All Animals or the
F.T.F.A.A. is claiming that the word
"stampede" is offensive and want it removed from the title of the Calgary Stampede. Earlier this week host
Peter Oldring spoke with one of the protest leaders,
Tory Mallek.
We want to know what you think,
is the word "stampede" offensive?
What should the Calgary Stampede change their name to? Let us know via Twitter, send your comments to
@CBCThisIsThat or hashtag your thoughts:
#StampedeNameChange. Leave us a message with your thoughts on our toll free talk-back line,

You can also let the
F.T.F.A.A. know your opinions via their
Facebook &
Twitter or by changing your profile picture to
