Earlier this week great Canadian songwriter
George Haywood died peacefully at his farm outside of Thunder Bay. Often referred to as this country's silver tongued troubadour, he left behind a collection of lyrical ballads that truly embody what it means to be Canadian.
This week
This Is That pays tribute to his legacy on our show and we've posted that audio over
on our Facebook page. "Here again Canadian wind, watch me walk away..." - George Haywood from Trans-Canada TrilogyRemember you can hear this story plus many others tomorrow morning on CBC Radio 1 at 10:30am (11:00am NT). Download previous episodes
