CBC Corner Brook is now broadcasting from its new location in the Valley Mall, on the corner of Mount Bernard Avenue and Main Street.

Mena Lodge is no stranger to the West Coast music scene. The Corner Brook woman has been performing across the region for years. So it may surprise you to know that she's never recorded an album. Until now. Hot off the press, her debut CD is called 10 Kings Road.  Mena spoke with Brian.

Rocky Road to Rocky Harbour

West Link Road is covered in holes. The main road in Rocky Harbour leads to several businesses and gets a lot of traffic. But it's getting worse. The problem is it's not a town road; it belongs to the province. Walt Nicolle is the mayor of Rocky Harbour.

Canada Games Lighthouse

The Canada Winter Games left a mark on Corner Brook after the city hosted the event in 1999. But now a model lighthouse that was a beacon for the Games, has gone out...and it's been shipped out. As of yesterday, the lighthouse belongs to Humber Arm South. Marion Evoy is with the town.

Canso Bomber

It's not every day you hear about people swapping aircraft engines. But, last week on the Morning Show, you heard about some aviation enthusiasts doing just that on the Northern Peninsula. The group from Fairview, Alberta wanted to get the working engines from a Canso bomber on display in St. Anthony. Now, with the Town's permission, they've swapped out those engines, and they're on their way home. Colleen Connors caught up with them on their travels.

Berdina Connolly - Breast Cancer

Last week, you heard about Angelina Jolie's drastic step to prevent breast cancer.

The actor had a double mastectomy.

Jolie's mother died of cancer at a young age and a genetic test showed Jolie was a high risk.

But you shouldn't just consider genes and family history.

Berdina Connolly is a breast cancer survivor with no family history of the disease.
