Poet Julie Bruck on The Monkey Ranch (Hr. 3)

It would seem that in the Bruck family, writing is bred in the bone. Julie Bruck just won the 2012 Governor General's Award for Poetry for her latest book, The Monkey Ranch.

Her mother Nina Bruck published her first book of poetry five years ago ... at the age of eighty-five.

Julie Bruck is also the author of The End of Travel and The Woman Downstairs.

Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Ploughshares, Maisonneuve, The Malahat Review and The Walrus.
