Host Ted Blades introduces us to some very accomplished women in this episode. We'll meet two nurses from New Brunswick whose research into Vancouver's safe ejection site, Insite, has won them a national award from the Health Council of Canada.  Candace Toma of Natuashish, Labrador, wins a national award for young Aboriginal writers. And "Ashelin",  five talented sisters from Foxtrap, Newfoundland, compose and perform a song that has caught David Suzuki's ear.

Part two:

Christiane Charette, a popular broadcaster in Montreal, explains why she has decided to retire from her successful program, and look for another challenge.  Evan Bray won't be announcing Saskatchewan Roughriders games anymore at Mosaic stadium. He too has decided to take a break. Kate MacDonald is a talented young artist with a penchant for unusual subjects. One of her latest works is painting the last meals of death row inmates.  And Guy Prouty is our guide as we get a tour of the prairie sky as ancient peoples would have seen it.
