A special pre-Christmas show....The show is mostly about holiday music today, thanks to contributions from another special holiday program produced by the CBC and Radio-Canada in Saskatchewan, called Noel, Noel. The music provided to The Story From Here by Noel, Noel consist of a number of holiday standards and some new songs. Today's lineup includes : Christmas Time Is Here; Baby It's Cold Outside; The Huron Carol and more. The complete version of the Noel, Noel concert can be heard on CBC Saskatchewan's Afternoon Edition on Thursday, December 24 at 4 :00 pm CST; on CBC Saskatchewan's SoundXchange on Saturday, December 26 at 5 :00 pm CST and you can also download the complete Noel, Noel from CBC Radio Two's Concerts On Demand website. Noel, Noel can also be heard on Radio-Canada on the main network, la Premiere chaine, on Dec 23 at 4:00 pm local time in your region, and again on Dec 29 at 4:00 pm local time. Plus, it can be heard everywhere on Radio-Canada's all-music network, Espace Musique on December 23 at 3:00 pm EST. But there's more than music on today's The Story From Here. Tune in for : the story of why a special Christmas tree is sent every year from Nova Scotia to Boston; how Christmas toys can keep you active and healthy; why Halifax contactors are baring it all for charity and how an ancient drink once brewed for vikings has become a big hit in Regina. A special note for parents interested in learning more about the active toys story...link here to the Saskatchewan In Motion toy list.
