The number of newcomers showing up at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in the St. John’s area has increased following the holiday season. A past-chair of the organization speaks to Anthony about the rise in the number of people seeking help with the disease.

Coptic Christmas

The gifts and even the tree they used to lie under are gone for most of us, but Egyptian Christians are celebrating Christmas Day today (January 7th). From the turkey to the tree, their traditions aren’t that different. MUN student Marrian Kamel, who’s originally from Egypt, tells the Morning Show’s Caroline Hillier about the special celebration.

People of a Feather

A new documentary that tells the story of the Inuit on the Belcher Islands in Hudson Bay opens today (January 7th) at Empire Theatres. St. John’s filmmaker Joel Heath drops by the studio to talk about his film "People of a Feather" and what he hopes we might learn from it.
