Cutting Edge Wrestling extravaganza
| A two-day local wrestling extravaganza taking place in St. John’s this week is dedicated to the memory of the late Shea Heights wrestler Sailor "Moon Dog" White. Two of the combatants taking part face off in the Morning Show ring with referee John Furlong… who almost gets pulled into a round with Dirty Don Martini as Psycho Mitch waits for the tag.

Kiwanis National Rose Bowl winner
| For the first time, a Newfoundlander has hit all the right notes at the Kiwanis National Rose Bowl competiton. Classical guitarist Steve Cowan won the music competition which was held this year in Fort McMurray. A graduate of Memorial’s School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music in New York, Steve currently teaches in Montreal. That’s where John Furlong reached him to talk about his big win at Kiwanis.
