TD Scholarship
It's not always easy financially for students finishing highschool and embarking upon post-secondary studies... but thanks to a ton of hard work and volunteering, at least one young man from St. John's is going to have a lot less to worry about. The student of Bishop's College High School has been awarded the TD Scholarship for Community Leadership - which means not only free tuition and accommodations but he's also guaranteed a summer job for the next 4 years valued up to $70,000. We reached him in Toronto as he celebrated with other winners from across the country.

NL lobsters to Nova Scotia
A dispute over lobster prices has taken a turn, or rather a drive. Fishermen on the west coast have loaded up a truck full of lobsters to sell to a buyer in Nova Scotia after the Price Setting Panel set the price for lobster at around $4.23 a pound. The seafood processors boycotted the panel and say the price is just too high. The host of the Central Morning Show reached the inshore director of the Fish, Food and Allied Workers Union to find out more:(Leigh Anne Power with Bill Broderick):

Sexual deviance
A former Roman Catholic bishop in this province pleaded guilty this week to possessing child pornography for the purpose of importation. Raymond Lahey was arrested going through customs at Ottawa airport in 2009. A forensic examination of Lahey's hard drive revealed photos depicting mostly-nude boys between the ages of eight and twelve in various poses and engaged in sexual acts. We reached the head of the forensic psychiatry division of Eastern Health, who's president of the Canadian Psychiatric Association.(John Furlong with Dr. Nizar Ladha):
