Richard Wagamese and Itah Sadu are both writers who know the power of sharing stories. They joined Shelagh on stage at Harbourfront Centre in Toronto this summer to talk about the overlapping experiences of black and aboriginal people in Canada and the transformative power of storytelling.
Richard Wagamese is an award-winning writer and storyteller based in Kamloops, BC. Shelagh spoke with him last season on The Next Chapter about his most recent novel, Indian Horse.
Itah Sadu is a storyteller and children's author. She is also the owner of the Toronto bookstore A Different Booklist.
Their conversation was part of the Planet IndiginUs festival. We hope you enjoy.
