What do Sir Frederick Banting, Nellie McClung, Tommy Douglas, and Pierre Elliott Trudeau have in common... other than revolutionizing Canadian society? They all share Scottish heritage.
Scots have never comprised more than sixteen percent of our national population, but their impact on Canada has been huge. That's the subject of popular historian Ken McGoogan's newest book "How the Scots Invented Canada".
When Shelagh spoke with Ken recently, we all agreed that his enthusiasm and knowledge couldn't be contained in a regular episode of The Next Chapter. So we're offering you a special unabridged version of their conversation for streaming here and as a special podcast.
If you love Canadian history and being surprised, you won't want to miss this!
