Nicole Magson

Nicole Magson teaches history, social science, and dance at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Collegiate in Scarborough. In her thirties, teaching is Magson's lifeline, as she fights a potentially fatal disease. Though the struggle with her illness can sometimes make teaching a challenge, she strives to bring optimism into her classroom and show her students that with hard work you can be great at what you do. At the same time, Nicole says she's seeing a trend of entitlement in her classroom and questions if society is changing to accommodate this attitude.
