Preet Banerjee

Preet Banerjee, B.Sc., FMA, DMS, FCSI

Preet Banerjee is an independent personal finance expert with an interest in behavioural finance, neuroeconomics, financial literacy and investor advocacy. Formerly a stockbroker, financial planner and life licensed insurance agent with a Bay Street firm, he has also worked in institutional investment sales and product development for an index fund manufacturer.

Preet writes two weekly personal finance columns for The Globe and Mail and is also a writer for the Investor Education Fund's Masters of Money program. He is author of the book RRSPs: The Definitive Guide to Registered Retirement Savings Plans and Charitable Giving Strategies for Canadians. His blog, WhereDoesAllMyMoneyGo.com, was voted Canada's best investing blog in 2010 by readers of The Globe and Mail and Advisor.ca named him one of Canada's Top 10 Financial Visionaries.

Preet is a Fellow of the Canadian Securities Institute (FCSI) and also holds the Derivatives Market Specialist (DMS) and Financial Management Advisor (FMA) designations.

Originally trained as a neuroscientist at The University of Toronto (UTSC), Preet subsequently enrolled and graduated from the Bridgestone Racing Academy's Race Driver and Mechanic Training Program before taking over as the school's Operations Manager for a few years before making the move to Bay Street. He also starred on, and won, a reality TV show on the W Network to become a W Network Expert. He has his own show in development with a tentative air date in 2012.

His blog, WhereDoesAllMyMoneyGo.com, was voted Canada's #1 investing blog by readers of The Globe and Mail in 2010.
