About the Elizabeth May interview

Green Party leader Elizabeth May has tweeted about the final edit of the interview on The National, saying "interview was cut. Climate crisis answer removed."
Ms. May's position on climate change has been covered frequently by CBC News, including various live presentations such as her campaign launch day, and then again on the Green Party of Canada's platform launch day.
As for the interview, Ms. May was aware before and after the interview was conducted that it would run ten minutes when televised. Because the interview went over the allotted time during the taping, she was made aware again that only ten minutes would run on air. In the end it ran 9:59.
CBC is grateful that Ms. May made herself available to join us on The National. She was the first national leader to do so.
