Power Trouble in Toronto

As you may have heard, there's been a power outage in parts of downtown Toronto since 7:00 this morning. The Canadian Broadcasting Centre is still affected by the outage, although power to critical systems, which includes our television broadcast and some online content, continues to be supplied by the Broadcasting Centre's emergency generator.
Despite somewhat diminished work tools and resources, The National will be broadcast across the country at its usual times, beginning at 10 p.m., 10:30 NT on the main channel, and on CBC News Network according to its regular schedule. Our live and on demand streams of The National broadcast will also be available as usual on our Watch the Show page.
Our At Issue panel will appear on the show tonight in its usual Thursday slot. We hope to have a web page up for you to leave comments and watch the video online, as well as provide an audio and video podcast, by midday on Friday.
However, our early editions - The National Mobile and The National on Demand podcast and on demand stream - will not be available today. We hope they will be back on Friday. We are unsure when power will be restored to the Broadcasting Centre, and are preparing for the outage to extend overnight.
We'll keep you updated if we find out anything more.
