This week, The Late Show profiles Papa Palmerino. Palmerino Sorgente was born in the early 1900s in Castelforte, Italy. He later immigrated to Montreal, where he and Maria raised thirteen children. Papa supported his family through various business ventures, including a pizza parlor on the Khanawake Reserve. Then one morning in 1970, he had a dream. The Virgin Mary told him that he was the son of God, that he was the Pope, (Papa in Italian) and that he had a mission to serve the Lord.
