Why would any community, let alone 21, sign up to for the right to become Canada's nuclear dump? The repository will eventually house highly radioactive used fuel bundles (more than 2 million) currently stored at nuclear power plants.
The waste site will cost anywhere from 16 to 24 billion dollars, once a host community is chosen.
