To put the life of a Canadian backbench MP into context, we spoke with British Conservative MP Mark Pritchard. Pritchard is the former Secretary of the 1922 committee, a group soley made up of Conservative party backbenchers.The committee gives backbenchers a chance to meet with the cabinet and Prime Minister on a regular basis.
