Wed Sep 29 - VCR Olympics & Positive Thinking 4.17

The Vancouver Olympics are behind us but in the months leading up to the games the question was, will the Olympics bring Vancouver happiness or will they bring heart break? Cast your mind back to pre-2010 Olympics as Pete Kelamis sets out to achieve his personal comedic best by convincing comic Charlie Demers that the 2010 Games are great for Vancouver. Next up on our solid gold combination of laughs and logic, the ridiculously upbeat comedy duo "It's Good to Know People" (Jason Bryden and David Milchard) try to convince morose funny man Marc Maron to open his heart, turn his frown upside down and accept the optimistic adage -- it pays to think positively! Come on Canada it's time to show your support for the most exciting competitive event in the history of our country. It's called The Debaters and it airs at 11:30 AM on Wednesday on Radio One.

Wed Sep 22 - Texting & Airport Screening 4.20

This week we're talking texting as tech savvy comedian Ivan Decker tries to convince funny lady Erica Sigurdson that texting spells an advance in communication. Next topic up is full body scanners, as Vancouver comic Graham Clark gives CBC Radio personality Bill Richardson a dressing down when Bill asserts that airport screening has not gone far enough. As usual The Debaters strips the issues bare to probe the truth and expose the hypocrisy. And in doing so we might just tickle your funny bone. Catch all the action Wednesday at 11:30 on Radio One.

Sat Sep 18 - Home Schooling & Animal Rights 5.03

Is the best school house your own house? This week Winnipeg funnyman Al Rae deflects the anti-Home School attacks of former teacher Allyson Smith as he attempts to prove that, when it comes to education, there's no place like home. Next up two small town Ontario adversaries, Jeff McEnery and Tyler Morrison go toe to toe over Animal Rights Activists and whether their publicity seeking antics should be ignored. Once again The Debaters presents a furious fight of facts and funny, but rest assured no comedians were harmed during the taping. Listen to the fur fly Saturday at 11:30 AM on Radio One.
