This week we are debating last names as patriarchal pontificator Sean Lecomber tries to coerce Vancouver funny Lady Erica Sigurdson into admitting that when it comes to mom, dad and the kids, there should only be one surname -- the sir’s! Also on our double bill of facts and funny, Atomic Improv’s Mark Meer and Donovan Wurkun make like Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Rhetorical Robots as they debate the merits of intelligent machines and whether we should fear their rise. Your radio may not be an intelligent machine but it will certainly seem smarter if it is tuned to The Debaters Saturday at 1:00 PM

Spark The Debaters is the hit CBC Radio show that features Canada’s hottest comedians going toe to toe, debating topics in the news and on the minds of Canadians.

The audience picks the winners based on who delivered the best logic and laughs, the best rhetoric and rant. Facts and force of argument can earn points, but in the end, jokes will likely win the match. Comedy trumps all.
