The UN's latest human development index was released today, and is officially being launched in Mexico City.
Mexico is rich in history and culture, but it is also struggling to contain gun violence, preserve its press freedoms, and control its escalating drug trade. But Mexico, despite these challenges, is one of several remarkable success stories in the southern hemisphere.
