Feature Interview with Dan Rather
Monday, June 11, 2012 |
Former CBS anchorman Dan Rather recalls his career as journalist and sincerely wishes he'd asked tougher questions about the U.S. decision to invade Iraq.
Dan Rather had a very controversial break with the world of TV news in general
and CBS news in particular. After 24 years behind the desk, the iconic newsman
stepped down as controversy swirled around him. But while it was the end of an
era in one sense, for Dan Rather it was the just the beginning of a new life in
the world of journalism.
Dan Rather's new book is Rather Outspoken: My Life in the News and he spoke with Gillian Finlay in Toronto.
