Liza Mundy: The Richer Sex

Statistics show 40-percent of working wives in the U.S. and an estimated 30-percent in Canada earn more than their male partners, a shift that is projected to continue and change the so-called rules from dating to mating to job hunts. Liza Mundy: The Richer Sex

Our next guest suggests we're living in a time of transformation as remarkable as the Industrial Revolution. You remember the Industrial Revolution: the upheaval that brought about the middle class, huge increases in population, higher wages, new demands for democracy and lots of other things, not all of them good. She thinks it may be as significant as that.

In her book The Richer Sex: How the new majority of female breadwinners is transforming sex, love and family, Washington Post reporter Liza Mundy argues women are on their way to overtaking men as primary breadwinners. It's a societal shift she believes will have a profound impact on sex, love and family life. Liza Mundy joined us from Washington, D.C.
