Part Three of The Current
The Anthropocene (cont'd)
We continue our conversation from our last half hour with photographer Edward Burtynsky and we pick up on the theme that if the oceans are in trouble then we are in trouble in the second part of Chris Wodskou's documentary, Next Stop: The Anthropocene.
Below are the photos by Edward Burtynsky discussed in this item:
The Current in Calgary
We'd like to remind you that The Current is heading to Calgary. If you live there, we want you to join our studio audience as we take stock of 40 years of uninterrupted Progressive Conservative rule in Alberta. Mayor Naheed Nenshi and former Senator Ron Ghitter will be there, and you can be part of the conversation on Sunday September 11th at 2pm at CBC Calgary.

Last Word - The Invisible Girl
Tomorrow on The Current, with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 just days away, we'll bring you the story of a 12-year-old girl who was at school in Lower Manhattan on the morning the World Trade Center's twin towers were attacked and the trauma of that moment followed her through the decade. We ended the program today with a few moments of that documentary called The Invisible Girl.
