The Carbon Footprint has become a ubiquitous environmental catch-phrase ... a sign-post that is regularly obsessed-over. And yet Mike Berners-Lee thinks it is one of the most misunderstood and frequently misused terms around. In an effort to change that he has written a book called How Bad are Bananas? The Carbon Footprint of Everything. And he really does mean everything from a text message to a cup of coffee to air travel. Mike Berners-Lee was in Lancaster, England.
Last Word - Roger Abbott
We ended the program this morning wit a fond and heartfelt remembrance. Roger Abbott, a comedic powerhouse of The Royal Canadian Air Force for almost 40 years died this week after a long struggle with leukemia.
Over the years, Roger Abbott lampooned everyone from the Queen Mother to Peter Mansbridge. We aired a clip of Roger Abbott as former prime minister Jean Chretien, speaking with Larry King, played by long-time collaborator Don Ferguson.
