Cold Case Revisited: Katherine Mary Brown Murder
Police are using jack-hammers to dig up a basement on the east side of Vancouver this morning. They're looking for the body of a woman who they now believe may have been murdered there 34 years ago.
Robert Sturcz believes his mother is buried there. He says he watched his father kill her and then bury her body in the basement. That was in 1977, when Robert Sturcz was five years old. He's 38 now. His father has since died. And Robert has spent much of his adult life living on the streets and battling addiction. He was in Vancouver this morning. And Dave Dickson spent 28 years as a police officer in Vancouver, working mostly on the Downtown Eastside. He's now a community resource worker at the Lookout Society in Vancouver.
