Theo Fleury hosts The Current this Friday!

Theo Fleury played 14 seasons in the NHL ... first with the Calgary Flames and later with the Colorado Avalanche and the New York Rangers. He was a prolific scorer and a notoriously tough competitor.

At the end of the 1999-2000 season, Theo Fleury entered a league-operated program for treating substance abuse. He later said that he had struggled for a long time with alcohol and drug abuse and that he had been sexually abused as a child.

Theo Fleury will be our Friday Host this week for a special edition of the The Current that will look at the epidemic of concussions in hockey, the changing demographics of Canadian hockey and a discussion of how men deal with sexual abuse suffered in childhood and adolescence.

And by way of introduction, here he is reading from his autobiography, Playing With Fire.

Note: Due to unfolding news events, our scheduled programming may change.
