Partners of Sex Offenders - Letters
We started this segment with a voicemail we received from one of our listeners. It's in response to an interview we did earlier this week with Dr. Paul Fedoroff, who runs a support group for the spouses of sex offenders.
Now just to be clear, Dr. Fedoroff doesn't say that the spouses of sex offenders should stay with the people who commit these crimes. He offers support for those who decide to. We aired a clip from our segment.
Our interview with Paul Fedoroff sparked some remarkable stories from our listeners. We wanted to share some of them with you this morning.
*** We should warn you, some of you may find them disturbing. We're withholding the names of all of the people in this segment, in order to protect their privacy. ***
We aired a reading from a letter we received from one of our listeners.
We were surprised by the number of spouses of accused or convicted sex offenders who wanted to tell us their stories. Our next guest is one of them. Again, we're withholding her name to preserve her privacy. She lives in Florida.
