The U.S. & Us: Selling Change - Jared Bernstein
Today on the show we're looking towards the US election. Barack Obama and Mitt Romney only have four more days to convince American voters who's the better choice. To get that message out - they need the media. But the Republicans have long argued the media is biased. Against them.
Today on the show we'll explore if there is any real proof of that - and then ask if you can even count on the media to deliver the message.
And during the last Presidential election - the message of Change propelled Barack Obama into the White House.
This time around - many are wondering if there was any substance to that promise. We'll look into selling the promise of change in an election - and why we humans are so attracted to change - but fear it at the same time.
Jared Bernstein was part of the inner circle during the 2008 Obama campaign. From 2009 to 2011, Mr. Bernstein was the Chief Economist and Economic Adviser to the Vice President. He's currently on leave from The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and Jared Bernstein joined me from Washington.
